Principles of Unity

The Principles of Unity will serve to unify and direct Veteran's Affairs in thier efforts to assist veterans. These Principles are a rallying point which all agree in order to serve a united front.

  1. Actively work to ensure full and adequate funding and support of veteran's benefits.
  2. Strengthen and support citizen rights by full support for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
  3. Support progressive candidates for elected office who will support veterans.
  4. Ensure that those who have served in this country's military are recognized and supported by the government of this country.
  5. Mark service in the military a rewarding career. Make the pay and benefits of military service a good and reasonable living. Ensure that all service members can support their families in a proud American tradition and standard.
  6. Oppose war unless absolutely necessary to protect the borders and our citizens, and then only as last resort.
  7. Ensure that the defense of this country be equally shared by all classes of people from the very top economic classes to the very lowest economic classes.
As an organization, we adopt as by-laws:
  1. To conduct all decision-making and activities in a "non-violent" manner.
  2. To conduct decision-making in accordance with parliamentary procedures as indicated in "Robert's Rules of Order."
